We're looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist who is passionate about helping patients improve their function and quality of life. Position Overview:

As a Physical Therapist, you'll be responsible for evaluating patients to determine appropriate treatment plans. You will apply your expertise to improve or restore function while participating in educational initiatives for students and community outreach.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program with at least a B.S. degree
  • Must hold an active Connecticut license in Physical Therapy

Key Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Proficient in Windows-based applications
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office applications is a plus
  • Reliable transportation for travel between various work sites is essential

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate patients based on departmental standards
  2. Conduct and customize evaluations according to patient symptoms and health status, setting measurable goals
  3. Administer appropriate therapeutic exercises to enhance strength, coordination, and range of motion
  4. Utilize physical modalities and manual techniques to reduce pain and meet treatment goals
  5. Educate patients and families on effective home exercise programs for maximizing independence
  6. Assess patient progress and recommend discharge when appropriate
  7. Document all treatments per insurance guidelines while adhering to departmental policies
  8. Foster communication with interdisciplinary team members and referring physicians regarding patient care
  9. Ensure accurate daily charge submissions
  10. Uphold the professional code of ethics established by the APTA
  11. Maintain safety and proper body mechanics during all tasks to prevent injuries
  12. Supervise affiliated students during their clinical rotations
  13. Engage in continuing education to enhance treatment methods
  14. Participate in departmental or community educational initiatives
