IMC currently has 2 open Ultrasound Tech PRN positions available. Qualified candidates will perform Ultrasoundprocedures at a technical level requiring no supervision. Performs a variety oftechnical and imaging procedures that require independent judgment. Assumesresponsibility for patient safety and image quality protocols. AssistRadiologists in special procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & LICENSURE

  • Graduate of Ultrasound program, which isaccredited by the Joint Review Committee for Radiology Technology Education(JRCRTE).
  • Valid State Licensure
TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, & JOB KNOWLEDGE
  • Completion of accredited Ultrasoundprogram
  • JACHO standards
  • Performing all Ultrasound procedures
PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform Ultrasound procedures asordered, including biopsies
  • Utilize portable xray equipment asneeded.
  • Perform Ultrasounds on inpatients,outpatients, and ER patients
  • Transport patients
  • Process films
  • Forward films to Radiologist and discussfindings with ER physician, if needed
  • Assist with peer group interviews
  • Work you share of overtime when heavyworkload arises
  • Order and stock supplies
  • Handle equipment problems byinvestigation, calling repair service, notifying Tech Supervisor or Manager
  • Assist coworkers with transport andprocedures
  • Be abreast of all P.I. projects andareas routinely monitored
  • Assist Tech Supervisor and Manager withprojects when needed
  • Attend department meetings, hospitalin-services
  • Assists in departmental orientation tonew employees
  • Follow IMC Standards of Performance,Hospital Goals, Department Goals
  • Responsible for scheduling and cost ofcontinuing education
