Interventional Radiology (IR) TechniciannnJob DescriptionnnPurpose & Scope:nnPerforms a variety of technical procedures that will require ingenuity and initiative in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas and procedures as required, including, but not exclusively, those responsibilities necessary for proper functioning of the Interventional Radiology Section.nnEducation:nnAn associate degree in radiological procedure is preferred.nnExperience:nnTwo years of experience in diagnostic radiology is required.nnOne year of experience in special procedures is required.nnCertification/Licensure:nnRegistered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) by CCI required.
