This full-service hospital is the only hospital in the Wayne, Westland, Garden City, Canton, Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital has a longstanding partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a wide variety of health and communicable disease concerns including mass trauma and emergency patients.nnScope of worknnUnder general supervision, the Special Procedure Tech provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and delivers quality patient/family centered care. The incumbent may be required to perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, vascular access site management, and provide patient/family education.nnQualificationsnnInterventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT).nnCath Lab/EP Lab requires employee to be a graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program, associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training and/or education.nnClinical experience required through graduation of one of the above listed programs.nn1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab or IR is required.nnIR requires BLS certification and active RT status upon hire, RT-CV or VI within 2 years of hire.nnCath Lab requires BLS upon hire and ACLS within time frame identified by each individual site with a maximum of 6 months. Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification, and IABP certification.nnEP Lab requires BLS upon hire and ACLS within time frame identified by each individual site with a maximum of 6 months.
