Job Summary: Perform all aspects of respiratory care clinically and diagnostically that the Cardiopulmonary department provides, such as adult ventilator care and critical care assessment, EKGs, general floor therapy, working with Neopuff support of newborns, arterial blood gas access, Pulmonary Function Testing, stress testing and holter monitoring/scanning.
Essential Functions: - Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.
• Assumes responsibility for first-line supervision of Certified Therapists in director's absence.
• Performs and evaluates bedside spirometry, and pulmonary function tests.
• Performs arterial blood gas puncture.
• Performs EKGs and holter scanning.
• Performs and evaluates EKG stress testing, if trained.
• Performs critical care ventilation and assessment.
• Determines appropriateness of prescribed therapy and goals for identified pathophysiological state.
• Conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures.
• Collects and evaluates additional pertinent clinical information by inspection, palpation, percussion, auscultation, and patient interview.
Requirement description :
- 2+ years of RRT - Required
- Prior travel experience - Preferred
- ACLS - Preferred
