With over 50 years of experience in the Canadian market, the Amur Group is one of the largest privately held fully integrated near-prime mortgage lenders in Canada.


Through its subsidiary Alpine Credits, the group has developed a nationally recognized brand focused on originating and administering near-prime home equity loans. Established in 1969, the Group employs over 75 professionals originating more than 300 private mortgages every month from provinces across Canada. This origination platform, along with Sequence Capital (launched in 2020) provides a critical source of private mortgages to complement the Group’s mortgage investment and administration activities.


At this juncture, the Group has positioned itself for further growth in all aspects of its business. As such, the Group is looking for an experienced leader to join the Information Technology Group and assist in utilizing technology to drive efficiency and improvements throughout the organization. As a member of the IT Group, the successful candidate will collaborate with team members to implement technology solutions to address and improve upon key business drivers.


Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer

Department: Information Technology Group

Reports To: Director of IT


Position Overview:

At Amur Financial Group, cloud computing continues to allow us to modernize and consolidate IT infrastructure and automate workloads. To continue this transformation, we’re seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure cloud engineer with expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation in the cloud. The ideal candidate is experienced in cloud-based tech, with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Active Directory, Intune Endpoint Management and Azure VMs (Linux and Windows)
  • Microsoft 365 suite administration
  • Exchange Online administration
  • SharePoint Online administration
  • Desk side support
  • Plan, design and execute IT infrastructure modernization project.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to identify needs and provide recommendations
  • IT asset management


Education, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Minimum 8+ years of related experience
  • B.Sc. Computer Science or IT or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online, Intune Endpoint Management and Microsoft PowerShell to automate processes
  • Notions of ITIL-based processes or certification (v3 Foundation level or up) and AZ 104 will be an advantage
