Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location: Dedham, MA

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM start, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week)

Position Overview:

Pride Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team in Dedham, Massachusetts. This is a 40-hour per week, 13-week contract position offering guaranteed hours. This is an excellent opportunity for medical assistants looking to provide high-quality patient care and work in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and prepare patients for office visits or outpatient procedures.
  • Measure and document vital signs, weight, and update patient records.
  • Assist physicians with medical procedures and perform clinical tasks as directed.
  • Perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations and injections, and conduct vision/hearing screenings.
  • Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of medical instruments.
  • Handle prescription refills, medication prior authorizations, and patient communications.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and assist with data collection for quality indicators.
  • Schedule patient procedures and follow up on referrals as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
  • Adhere to all hospital and regulatory policies, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide coverage for other physician offices as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Certification: Must hold a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification or equivalent training.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in phlebotomy, injection administration, and patient care techniques.
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
