This position is benefits eligible.ShiftDayHours Per Week42Salary RangeDepends on ExperiencePulmonology Nurse Practitioner (NP) / OverviewWe are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for our In-Patient Pulmonary Medicine practice at 52 Harrison Street, Johnson City NY located physically adjacent to the UHS Wilson campus.We are excited to add this NP position due to growth and this NP would work collaboratively within our group of five, triple board-certified physicians and 1 Nurse Practitioner.This position would be expected to work independently with close physician supervision. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, patience and a comfort level when dealing with patients that have multiple chronic illnesses. While we would anticipate this APP to make diagnoses, order and interpret lab tests and prescribe therapies, we understand that not all presentations are straightforward. Therefore, within our collaborative environment, there will always be opportunity for discussion and/or oversight regarding any of the above clinical roles.Requirements And SkillsActive and unrestricted license in New York State or ability to obtain by start dateGraduate of an accredited Master of Science Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice programActive Nurse Practitioner certification through a national boardCurrent, active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulationsOpportunity DetailsFull-Time Position with benefitsSchedule is 7 days on, 7 days off (alternating with the solo incumbent NP)Hours 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
