About the Role
The Company is in search of a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer (GM/COO) to lead its team with a strong focus on exceptional service, member engagement, and financial discipline. The successful candidate will be the face of the community, working in partnership with the Board of Directors and key volunteers to ensure the highest level of personalized service. This role requires a proactive, highly engaging individual with a natural propensity to be creative, energized, and front-facing. The GM/COO will be responsible for all operational matters, including strategic and policy development, and must be adept at managing a large operation with a keen eye for detail. Key attributes include a deep knowledge of active club operations, strong F&B skills, financial acumen, and a proven track record in talent selection and development.Candidates for the GM/COO position at the company should possess a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or have substantial experience in the private club or hospitality industry. Industry certifications such as CCM, CCE, or PGA are preferred. The role demands a leader who is actively involved in the industry, particularly in the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) or similar organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of peers and be at the forefront of industry trends. They must be able to create and implement strategic plans, anticipate the community's evolution, and be adept at thought partnering with the Board and members. The GM/COO should be a natural mentor, with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to lead in a busy, dynamic environment.
