About the Role
The Company is seeking a Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs to serve as the chief academic officer and lead the university in fulfilling its mission as a teaching institution with high-quality academic programs. The Provost will also work collaboratively with all divisions of the university, particularly the Division of Student Affairs, to enhance student retention and success.Applicants for the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs position at the company must have an earned doctorate or terminal degree, a teaching and scholarly record that supports eligibility for tenure at the full professor level, and experience in budget allocation, data analysis, and institutional accreditation. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in the higher education academic sector, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of academic and scholarly work. Preferred qualifications include experience in a complex organizational setting, a four-year collegiate academic dean's position, and a background in higher education policy in Louisiana. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective conflict management, resolution skills, and a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the strategic priorities of the university.
