Job Description:
Job Title: Surgical Technologist-OR
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: 40 hrs/week
Shift: 5x8 Days (8 hrs)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Pay Range: $2000.00- $2100.00 Weekly DOE
Overview:
We are looking for a qualified surgical technologist to assist with the operations in our facility. You will be tasked with preparing and sterilizing the operating rooms, as well as the necessary equipment and instruments, prior to any surgical procedure. You will also be charged with preparing the patients for surgery and help provide a great patient experience overall.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Provide direct care using the nursing process and supervise other nursing staff.
Health Management: Diagnose, treat, and educate on health problems.
Supervision: Oversee care delivered by LPNs, RNPs, attendants, and technicians.
Assessment: Identify and evaluate patient care needs.
Care Planning: Develop comprehensive care plans, including discharge and teaching.
Care Delivery: Administer care and ensure staff adherence to care plans.
Monitoring: Observe and document patient responses to treatments.
Coordination: Prioritize and implement care plans effectively.
Age-Specific Care: Adapt plans for pediatric and geriatric needs.
Accountability: Take responsibility for interventions and contribute to quality improvements.
Communication: Maintain effective communication and manage stress in high-pressure.
Qualifications:
A graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program and surgical technologist certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
