Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Port Jefferson Station NY 11776

. This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Port Jefferson Station NY 11776

Schedule: MWF 9-5, Tu/Th 12-8, Sat 9-1

Pay Range: $18-23 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume

Responsibilities:

• 1.Greeting patients and walking them back to designated exam rooms to perform clinical intake: med history, medication reviewal, temperature, blood pressure, blood oxygen, height and weight, documenting reasons for visits
• 2.Performing tests as requested by provider; EKG, blood draw, etc
• 3.Assisting providers and managers as necessary in the patient room and out
• 4.Assist to manage fax boxes and route labs, messages and making any necessary outbound phone calls to obtain patient information and documentation
• 5.Ensure rooms are stocked and supplies are maintained or disposed of as necessary

Must have qualifications/experience:

1. High School Graduate or GED

2. RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant or willing to obtain within 180 days

3. Active CPR / BLS certification within 30 days of hire

4. Working knowledge of medical terminology

5.Perform all duties in accordance with clinical, OSHA and infection control standards

1. Experience in physician's office is a plus

2. Room patients and take vitals

3. Perform required testing (ekg, urine analysis, Covid swabs, etc...)

4. Be able to work one on one with the providers

5. Prioritize and multitask

Dress code:

The uniform is blue Optum scrubs. Candidates can wear a white, black or gray shirt under scrubs.
