Requirements:
1.Must satisfy all criteria for membership on the Medical Staff of St. Joseph’s listed in the Medical Staff Bylaws including current licensure as a dentist in the State of New Jersey.
2.Must have successfully completed a residency program in pediatric dentistry approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and be either board eligible, or currently certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
3.Must possess the skills to competently practice pediatric dentistry and to provide mentorship to residents training in that specialty.
4.Must demonstrate professionalism, abide by ethical principles, consistently commit to high quality care and incorporate an awareness of the social determinants of health in practice.
Professional Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Teach and supervise residents in the Dental Clinic.
2. Provide didactic instruction and mentorship to residents in the Department.
3. Support and guide resident research and participate in scholarly activity.
4. Oversee the evaluation and management of pediatric patients requiring oral health care; and
5. Other duties as assigned by the Pediatric Dentistry Program Director and/or the Chairman of the Department of Dentistry.
