Inside Sales Associate


Job Description

FPG is looking for qualified candidates to assume the role of Inside Sales Associate in their Noblesville, IN office and warehouse location. In this position’s Inside Sales responsibilities, the individual will be expected to assist the Inside Sales team with sales & order processing, creating quotes for customers, handling all incoming & outgoing shipments, and resolving customer issues. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for coordinating all outbound shipments via parcel freight carriers as well as LTL shipments, periodically auditing warehouse stock and maintaining order points, order quantities and safety stock levels for all inventory SKUs under management.


While not required, prior experience in a highly technical role as a technician, logistics planner or within an inside sales team is preferred. Demonstrable organization skills (from day one) are important. This role will interface with all internal staff at FPG, including the Accounting manager, Inside Sales Manager, Inside Sales Engineer and (infrequent) interaction with the Outside Salespersons that actively manage a five-state territory.


This position is full-time, exempt and requires on-site work daily (not remote). The role may have daily interaction with customers and vendors; and, the person will be the primary interface for all shipping parties to/from vendors and customers. Thus, strong written and verbal skills are exceptionally important.


Qualifications

  • Inside/Outside Sales, Sales Engineering or Technical Support experience (preferred)
  • Warehouse management (preferred)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, drive a forklift and operate warehouse equipment (training provided)
  • Experience in industrial process and controls industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Control Valves and Flow Meters (preferred)
  • Experience in working with a company ERP – quotes, orders, delivery orders/shipments, warehouse inventory management, etc… (preferred)
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), organization and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams are used extensively)
