We are looking for a President to lead the Intermodal division for Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded transportation and logistics company. This position will be based in our corporate headquarters in Warren, MI.

Universal Intermodal services all major US Ports and intermodal Rail Ramps and offers domestic door-to-door drayage to and from Ports, Rails, and Customer Facilities. We operate from over 40 terminals and 11 container yards.

Starting Salary- $270,000-$300,000 + Bonus up to $270,000-$300,000 predicated on results

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Successful history in operations and business development.
• Experience leading a team of managers and individual contributors
• Experience with agents/agent based model
• Strong business acumen
• Acquisition and merger experience
• Confident, decisive with strong negotiation, problem solving and closing skills
• Must be able to travel when needed
• A BA or BS in business transportation/logistics or equivalent is preferred but not required
• Have the wherewithal, confidence, and social aptitude to carry out executive level responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to :

• Drive operational efficiencies to improve service, financial performance and revenue growth
• Develop direct relationships with the customers
• Knows what levers to pull to impact the P&L
• Develop, lead and manage personnel
• Review market analyses to determine customer needs, agent needs and volume potential
