Job Description
A reputable heavy equipment dealership is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Service Technician who values quality work and understands the importance of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on customer- and dealer-owned heavy equipment, ensuring reliable service and client trust. Key Responsibilities: Conduct diagnostics and perform repairs on heavy equipment. Maintain vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment in proper condition. Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to professional standards. Follow all safety rules and regulations during assignments. Accurately complete required reports and forms associated with work tasks. Track all work time and materials used during assignments. Travel to on-site locations as needed to service customer-owned equipment. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 1 years performing service and engine repairs on heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, backhoes, loaders, etc. Technical Skills: Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Skilled in performing repairs and maintenance using specialized tools and equipment according to technical manuals. Communication: Strong oral and written communication abilities. Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting at least 75 lbs. repeatedly. Certifications/Education: Basic Service Technician certification preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred. Other: Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostics.
