The Calibration & Service Department is offering an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to an energetic, highly motivated, and organized professional.
You should be an electronic technologist preferably with a background in the service, repair, and calibration of test and measurement equipment, ranging from DC to RF.
Main Duties
- Calibration and repair of electronic test and measurement equipment (DMM, Signal Generators, AC/DC Power Supplies, Avionics test sets).
- Create and implement calibration and repair procedures.
- Manage calibration projects independently.
- Carry out component level repairs of Test and Measurement equipment ranging from DC to RF.
- Provide a superior level of customer support.
- Provide technical expertise to various departments (Production, Quality, Sales).
Core Requirements
- Associate’s College Degree/Diploma in electronics, or electronic technologist.
- Experience with analog and digital troubleshooting and repairs of electronic circuits and test equipment (preferable down to component level).
- Solid understanding of electronic principles.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a broad range of electronic laboratory test and measurement equipment including but not limited to: RF signal generators, radio communication and avionics test sets, spectrum analyzers, AC/DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, arbitrary function generators, and multimeters.
- A fundamental understanding of the theory of metrology and traceable calibration.
- Experience with standard industry test and measurement equipment and the uses of such equipment in a metrology environment.
- Excellent communications, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Other Requirements
- Hold a valid driver’s license and access to an automobile (repairs sometimes occur on customer site, as requested).
- Ability to travel, as required (limited travel required and predominantly in the Greater Toronto Area).
- Legally allowed to work in Canada and the ability to travel to the USA.
