Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services ( We are currently looking for a Photovoltaic System Engineer to join our team for a construction project.
-Project: Photovoltaic Plant
-Estimated duration of the position: 2 years - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.
-Main Responsibilities:
-Technical Planning and Supervision:
- Supervise the engineering design of the PV plant, including electrical, mechanical, and civil calculations.
- Ensure the optimal integration of photovoltaic systems, inverters, transformers, and grid connections.
- Validate the technical and economic feasibility studies of the project.
- Ensure the optimization of resources and materials used in design and construction.
-Project Coordination:
- Lead the team of engineers and technicians assigned to the project.
- Coordinate the development, construction, commissioning, and operation phases.
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
- Develop work schedules, monitor progress, and report deviations.
-Regulatory and Safety Management:
- Ensure that the design and execution comply with local and international regulations.
- Supervise environmental impact analyses and the implementation of necessary corrective measures.
- Ensure that working conditions are safe and comply with health and safety regulations.
-Budget Management:
- Control the project budget, avoiding cost overruns.
- Identify and manage technical and financial risks related to project engineering.
- Ensure quality control of acquired equipment, components, and materials.
-Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in solar photovoltaic energy.
- Promote the implementation of new technologies to maximize the plant's energy efficiency.
- Evaluate potential expansions and technological upgrades in existing plants.
-Communication and Reporting:
- Present technical and financial reports to senior management or stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between the client, the company, and regulatory authorities.
- Lead technical and follow-up meetings with the engineering team.
-Working hours: Monday to Friday: 8 am - 5 pm (1 hour break)
-Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical planning and supervision of photovoltaic projects or similar.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in project coordination and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and safety standards in the photovoltaic industry.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
