Unlock your potential at TriCities Hospital!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator works with trauma program leadership to coordinate all aspects of the department's Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Program. The PI Coordinator will review the continuum of care to determine compliance with practice management guidelines, policies and procedures, and established standards of care.What you will do in this role:Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.Maintain the Trauma PI database to ensure adequate documentation as required by regulatory agencies.Complete concurrent review of cases to identify quality, timelines and systems of care to meet state standardsParticipate in hospital education programs for nurses and resident physicians caring for trauma patients.Serve as a liaison to the clinical areas responsible for trauma patients.Coordinate multidisciplinary monthly Trauma Systems & Operations Committee and Peer Review meetings.What qualifications you will need:Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or RN compact state license required.Preferred Bachelor's Degree in NursingPreferred Master's Degree in NursingRequired 3+ years' experience in NursingPreferred 3+ years' experience in Trauma NursingPreferred Experience in Quality/Performance ImprovementPreferred Experience in Project ManagementAdvanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateTrauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateTriCities Hospital has provided quality healthcare services since 1915.
