The Regional Access Director:
- Access all service opportunities on an ongoing basis, consistent with Empath Health's vision of Full Life Care for members of the communities in which we serve.
- Lead and develop a high performing team through colleague engagement, feedback, performance evaluation, and coaching.
- Drives service and overall results through team collaboration and ensuring accountability of each individual member of the team.
- Identifies and manages strategic customer service, access and admission alliances to position Empath Health for the future of the ever-changing health care industry.
- Serve as lead contact for access escalation 24/7.
- Lead department from initial call to successful admission with proven average annual statistics.
- Leads and represents the Admissions department in decision-making while creating all related Policies/Procedures to ensure quality, integrity, compliance, customer focus at all times.
- Initiate, develop, implement, evaluate, staff's areas of responsibility to ensure rapid response while ensuring optimum compliance to regulatory standards, always keeping the patient/family needs at the forefront.
- Exhibit ability to think creatively in recommending proper follow through and service excellence to provide the right care at the right time by working directly with internal and external colleagues.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university required. Master's degree preferred.
- Three years Hospice experience with at least three years of management experience preferred.
- Seven to ten total years of experience as an RN preferred.
- Licensure: RN
- Continuing education: Must acquire continuing education and training related to regulatory and professional practices. Demonstrates advancement in knowledge and expertise.
- Certifications: Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association; Current certifications as applicable to their professional discipline.
- Must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee's HR file. This position requires travel between multiple locations.
- Colleague must sign a Business Protection Agreement.
