LHH is currently recruiting for a Medical Inside Sales Representative in Valencia, CA. This is a direct hire and fully onsite position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret medical documentation for patient history, diagnosis, and previous treatment plans.
- Utilize payer-specific approved criteria to determine medical necessity or clinical appropriateness for the company’s products.
- Submit pertinent demographic and supporting clinical documentation with pre-authorization requests timely to avoid unnecessary delays in patient treatment.
- Collaborate with field sales team and healthcare professionals to secure additional information and medical documentation required for insurance submission and/or appeal.
- Review payer denials and prepare and submit appeals on behalf of patients.
- Develop working relationships with individual insurance providers, alternative funding sources, government payers, and Care Credit to maximize win rates.
- Manage inbound and outbound calls using professional and proactive client service skills with call control techniques.
Education and Experience:
- BS degree preferred and/or relevant experience.
- 2 years of medical authorization experience involving medical record review required.
- Knowledge and interpretation of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding. Medical coding certification preferred.
- Experience in sales (inside or outside) with responsibility for achieving assigned targets.
- Preferable experience working in the medical industry via pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sectors.
Compensation and Benefits :
- Annual salary: $57,000 with bonus opportunity.
