Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in litigation defense, preferably in medical malpractice cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in legal research, drafting, and trial preparation, along with excellent communication and negotiation skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in medical malpractice and general litigation defense matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support case strategies.
  • Manage all phases of litigation, including depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with clients, expert witnesses, and colleagues to develop case strategies.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to medical malpractice and litigation defense.
  • Provide high-quality client service, ensuring clear and consistent communication.


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in Florida.
  • 2-5 years of litigation defense experience, with a focus on medical malpractice preferred.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with trial preparation and courtroom procedures is a plus.
