Job Title: Instructional Designer

Job Description:

­RE/MAX is looking for a thoughtful and creative team player to join our marketing team to help bring our brand, education, technology, solutions and services related content to the next level! As our Instructional Designer, you’ll play a key role in evolving the way we offer learning and education content to affiliates across the network – straddling “what it is” with “how to do it” and help impact meaningful change across the network. Creating presentations and building interactive courses – from script writing to final product – designing key pages in our LMS and leveling up content that helps drive awareness, adoption, engagement and continued growth related to company goals and objectives. You’ll also be responsible for developing new content and reshaping our existing courses to ensure RE/MAX affiliates stay up-to-date on proven strategies that will help them grow their businesses.

Job Duties/Essential Functions: (3+ bullet points)

  • Learn the extensive suite of content available on RE/MAX University.
  • Lead the design of educational programs for RE/MAX – acting as an internal agency partner with key departments and stakeholders – bringing marketing resources into the mix as needed.
  • Be a core designer for learning content that educates over 140,000 real estate professionals around the globe.
  • Bring education to the network, meet users where they are at, and deliver actionable value at each interaction.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to transform their knowledge into an effective learning experience for RE/MAX agents and brokers.
  • Design and develop creative learning experiences including synchronous remote learning methodologies, blended classroom learning, interactive eLearning modules, videos, infographics, presentations, and reference materials.
  • Partner with a variety of RE/MAX teams to identify the highest impact learning opportunities to construct self-paced courses from scratch, including script writing, video editing, voice-over, animations, content, design, and flow.
  • Leverage learning technologies such as Rise, Articulate Storyline, Docebo, Camtasia, and internal RE/MAX tools to create learning content that is measurable and cutting-edge.
  • Assist with script writing and video editing for training and education videos when needed.
  • Build knowledge checks and exams for eLearning courses.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations for national webinars, live trainings, and events.
  • Ensure existing training content remains fresh, relevant, and top of mind for users.
  • Address ad hoc requests like designing reference guides, marketing flyers, banners, etc.
  • Ability and passion for assembling, producing, and publishing content in learning management and content management platforms


Preferred Education Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in marketing, advertising, communications, instructional design, or equivalent.


Years of Experience:

  • 2+ years of Instructional Design experience at Global or SaaS Organizations

Preferred Licensing, Certificates, and Skills (If necessary):

  • Ability to take complex concepts and explain them in a simple way
  • Certified in instructional design preferred
  • Highly organized and able to work without direct supervision
  • Familiarity with usability and UI/UX principles
  • Technology awareness / acumen in a high-growth and fast-paced environment with excellent project management skills, including managing multiple internal stakeholders, working with SMEs, and delivering projects on time
  • Deep knowledge of real estate industry preferred
  • Experience in graphic design, content writing for adult learners, and curriculum development
  • Nice to have: Fluency in web presentation coding: HTML, CSS
  • Ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment
