  As a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver , your main responsibilities will include:
  
  • Transporting Clients Safely : Use company vehicles to safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, errands, or other activities. Some clients may require wheelchair assistance .
  • Client Support & Companionship : Provide a comforting and supportive presence during transport. Help ease any anxieties and ensure a positive experience for your clients.
  • Documentation & Scheduling : Assist with the documentation of client appointments and help schedule future medical visits as needed.
  • Possible Personal Care : In some cases, provide light personal care such as assisting with toileting or other care as needed within your scope of responsibilities.
  • Ensuring Safety & Comfort : Help clients into and out of the vehicle, assist with mobility as needed, and make sure they feel safe and at ease during transport.
    Qualifications & Skills:
    
    • Minimum 21 years of age due to insurance requirements.
    • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record .
    • Must pass background check , DMV check, and drug screening (Marijuana use is prohibited under federal regulations).
    • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
    • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and assist with moving or pushing a wheelchair (up to 200 lbs) as needed.
    • CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - able to interact positively with clients and team members.
    • Computer skills - Ability to assist with documentation and scheduling tasks.
    • Reliable transportation and personal auto insurance.
    • Flexibility - Able to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends.
