Job SummaryThe Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives. As an out of the box thinker, this motivated individual will research & monitor market conditions/competitor data and will be responsible for using this data to develop, implement and manage the company’s strategic marketing plan and innovation pipeline. Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, the Marketing Manager will develop and execute the company’s marketing communications, advertising, promotions, and new product innovation. Occasional travel is also required to support various initiatives.Duties and ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the execution of the corporate brand strategy; efficiently and effectively communicate clients philosophy of exceptional value and superior service through a variety of marketing channelsDevelop out-of-the-box ideas and help identify the creative solutions to support them promotionally; help develop strategies to expand the company’s marketing reach to capitalize on growth opportunities Develop and lead the innovation pipeline process, from idea conception to execution and launchWork closely with the Sales team to ensure corporate sales goals are met; develop tools where necessaryParticipate in new promotional channel activations; develop relationships with like-minded companies to position the brand as a leading, vertically integrated vegetable companyRegularly monitor and report on consumer, industry and competitive trendsResearch and develop the annual trade advertising planLiaise with creative team to develop visual content that support the brand and marketing priorities Work closely with other departments to ensure brand consistency across the entire company and all its subsidiariesUtilize project management and task management tools to coordinate and oversee marketing projects effectively.Perform copywriting tasks as needed for various marketing materials.Other core expectations as defined by the companyRequirements and SkillsA Bachelor’s degree or accredited college diploma is required; focus of Business Administration, marketing strategy, new product innovation, integrated marketing communications, brand development experience requiredA minimum of five (5) years of related work experience required; food industry preferredExperience in market and product segmentationAbility to do fact-based research and analysis of market, competitor and customer dataTechnology savvy; PC/Mac, Adobe CC, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM etc.Superior communication skills including presentation & writing skills; additional languages an assetExceptional project management skills; organized, strategic thinker, and financially responsibleExcellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style; persuasive with details and factsTeam player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary; Ability to lead, motivate and empower – forward thinking in nature, always defining the ‘why’Must be flexible to shift assignments as required to meet both customer & business needs
