Sensequake is currently seeking a structural engineer to join its team in downtown Montreal. You will work on landmark bridges and buildings internationally.

Job description:

•      Analyzing the sensing data to extract modal properties using ambient vibration tests (Sensequake offers training)

• Monitoring a structural health using modal properties (Sensequake offers training)

• Integrity evaluation and damage detection of bridges based on vibration tests

•      Seismic evaluation of buildings using sensing data (Sensequake offers training) 

•  Seismic time history analysis and FEMA P-58 damage evaluation

• Structural health monitoring

• Writing technical reports

•      Interacting with clients and presenting the results

Skills required:

•       Master’s degree in Structural Engineering

•       Strong social and presentation skills with excellent written and verbal communication

•       Passion for technology, self-motivated and a team player

Assets:

•  Bilingual in English and French

•       Strong background in earthquake engineering and non-linear dynamic analysis

•       Knowledge about ambient vibration tests and modal identification

•       Experience in structural design and retrofit schemes

•       Knowledge of the NBCC and FEMA codes, especially Hazus & FEMA P-58

•       1-3 years of experience as a structural engineer
