We are partnered with a global biotechnology company headquartered in the Bay Area. They are hiring either a Contracts Manager or Contracts Counsel to lead their contract management function. Reporting to an SVP, this position will work closely with C-suite and stakeholders throughout the business on any and all contract matters. This is a hybrid position near South San Francisco that requires weekly on-site attendance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a variety of contracts for customers, vendors, and commercial matters.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, acting as the primary contact for contract issues.
• Keep comprehensive records of all correspondence and documentation in contract management software.
• Communicate contract details to stakeholders, monitor key contract terms, and address any contract-related issues or inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ YOE managing commercial contracts (law firm or in-house)
• J.D. and active bar license a plus
• Life sciences experience strongly preferred
