Role: Lead UI/UX/Strategy Designer
Location: The Woodlands, TX (onsite at least 3 days/week)
Duration: 1-year open-ended Contract
Lead UI/UX/Strategy Designers lead activities to conceptualize, create, and improve product and service experiences. They are experts at applying human-centered design to solve challenging problems and create meaningful experiences. They mentor design team members to excel by sharing their design expertise and facilitating critique sessions to improve designs. Significant experience in complex domains.
If you also have experience with design systems, AI-focused projects, and/or service design, then that would be an added bonus!
Job Requirements
- Ability to run a small team of designers (2-4)
- Ideally, someone that is a solid UI/UX Designer with some experience in strategy + research as well
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Designed human-centered experiences for numerous products and/or services
- Demonstrated design deliverables and approaches in a professional portfolio
- Conceptualized and evaluated designs based on user research findings, design critiques, and industry best practices
- Leveraged advanced functionality of leading design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch) to create designs
- Worked on projects with complex challenges (e.g. remote teams, cultural barriers, technology constraints)
- Aligned software developers with design specifications to implement designs
