Job Description
Vaco Atlanta has partnered with a growing client to hire a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll and benefits for 300 employees across multiple states. Reporting to the HR Director, you will own the payroll process, drive process improvements, and assist with strategic HR initiatives.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Onsite: Mon-Thurs; Remote on Friday.
Job Type: Direct hire, permanent.
Compensation: $75,000 - $120,000 + 15% bonus, excellent benefits!
Responsibilities:
  • Process semi-monthly payroll using Paylocity, including commissions, bonuses, and salary adjustments.
  • Manage multi-state tax filings and set up accounts in new states.
  • Administer benefits and maintain file feeds (Anthem, Lincoln, Fidelity).
  • Drive payroll process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Assist with acquisition integration and open enrollment.
  • Act as a strategic HR partner, supporting performance management and employee relations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (no online degrees).
  • 5+ years of payroll and benefits experience, with full ownership of payroll functions.
  • Proven process improvement skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Paylocity and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
