SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Systems Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and support of the company’s internal office network infrastructure and local and remote user desktop support to ensure the availability and consistent performance of company applications. Ensuring operational readiness, executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of multiple development teams.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Advanced multi-tasking and context switching between different activities and teams.
• Work with limited supervision, overseeing the design, purchase, installation and support of network communications and services.
• Works on problems of a diverse nature and set of equipment and associated problem sets where analysis of situation requires logical evaluation and judgement.
• Responsible for evaluation of current network systems performance and trends.
• Expert in analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of network incidents.
• Experience multi-tasking and context-switching between different activities and teams.
• Excellent communication skills
• Works with a mixed team of varying degrees of technical skills. Team includes everything from developers to CSR.
• Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
• Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
• Setup equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
• Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
• Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities via Jira ticketing system.
• Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or provide technical assistance and support.
• Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
• Prepare evaluations of software or hardware and recommend improvements or upgrades.
• Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
• Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
• Perform daily duties in line with Information Security Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure that Information Confidentiality, Integrity, and Privacy is always maintained with processing information assets.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting a Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server2022 environment
• Windows Active Directory
• Maintenance and support of Cisco’s DUO SSO platform
• Windows 10, Windows11, and Apple/OSX desktop support experience
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery model DATTO
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• Lead the team in the implementation and maintain in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of standards, guideline, industry trends, etc., for the Networking discipline, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, Data Center networking and interconnection
• Drive improvements in network process, efficiency, and standardization
• Experienced with maintenance and provisions of new machines via InTune, MDT, WDS
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Maintain strong attention to detail
• Strong organization skills
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Experience with SaaS platforms; Google Workspaces, TalkDesk, ZenDesk, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, M365
• Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, ability to find and solve the root causes of problems
