Job Description

Hybrid - must be in a commutable distance to Folsom, CA

Contract role through the end of 2025 with high probability of extension.


Key Responsibilities:


Automation:

  • Develop and implement automated solutions for data quality management, validation, and visualization to enhance forecasting efficiency.
  • Support technical data tasks for 2025 PMO projects, including:DAME – Imbalance reserve requirements.

Hybrid 2C – UAT, implementation, process documentation, and process flow.


Implementation:

  • Assist with onboarding and implementation tasks required.
  • Contribute to forecasting project testing, process documentation, and updates to procedure diagrams.
  • Collaborate on new and existing business processes by supporting standards, controls, and improvements.


Data Monitoring and Support:

  • Monitor and maintain critical data inputs for forecasting systems.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve disputes, defects, and enhancement requests.
  • Provide support for Variable Energy Resources (VER) registration, including:Reviewing PI tag information during onboarding.

Communicating with stakeholders to resolve issues and provide updates.



Additional Responsibilities:

  • Administer daily production activities related to renewable resources registration.
  • Coordinate forecasting project development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Maintain and organize databases for historic and real-time data (e.g., loads, weather, renewable resources, outages, and economic data).
  • Drive improvements to forecasting tools and resolve system defects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and programming in R, along with database management (SQL, MS-Access, MS-Excel).


Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Atmospheric Science/Meteorology, or related field.
  • Knowledge or interest in demand, renewable energy forecasting (wind/solar), and DER.
  • Background in data analytics, data warehousing, and querying.
  • Experience with project coordination, development, and testing.
  • Certifications in Project Management (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.
