Avery Partners is looking for an experienced Practice Administrator that is looking to relocate to Anchorage, Alaska. We have an opening for a 2 location specialty practice. There are 12 providers with 45 employees. The Practice Administrator acts as the CEO as well. They will pay up to $10k for relocation if needed.
Job Duties Include:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations within the practice
- Lead strategic recruitment initiatives. Conduct all interviews with Supervisor or Lead from relevant department. Hiring for fit is critical. Conduct initial provider interviews and participate in subsequent interviews and site visit with owner/partner team.
- Marketing
- Financial Management
- Lead the Quarterly Board meetings
- Every Wednesday-Meet with the two Managing Partners to discuss operational or strategic items requiring board consideration. Review any issues/concerns raised by owner/partners. They also might discuss new trends etc..
- Work with External vendors for IT, EMR, Billing, HRIS, etc.
- HR management/oversight
- They will need to have worked in a collegial, collaborative team environment with an open-door policy
- This position REQUIRES the practice manager to be a problem-solver and keep things moving forward for the team. This is NOT a “sit in your office” all day position. Rounding, staff engagement and relationship building are the key to success in this role.
- They work with ADP. They have an offsite payroll person, but the practice manager still needs to sign off on it. They outsource their billing and credentialing. Coding is done in house. They also have a CPA and bookkeeper offsite.
- Executive leadership experience.
- Management of supervisory/management staff as well as human resources staff/department.
- Financial management background:
- P&L responsibility
- Successfully led their organizations through financial growth and/or revenue challenges
- Directly responsible for budget development and organizational performance to budget
- Negotiated vendor and payer contracts. (Utilizing an outside consultant would be appropriate for payer contracts)
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required, in business or health care administration. Master’s degree preferred.
•10+ years management experience with a minimum of 5+ years in executive healthcare management. Private practice and OB/GYN experience preferred.
•Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•Excellent strategic planning and organizational abilities.
•Knowledge of the principals and practices of health care administration to include business management, billing/coding, financial management, IT/IS, human resources, insurance regulations and other applicable laws, standards, and acts (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA).
•Entrepreneurial mindset and work ethic.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders including employees, owners, patients and families, business partners and the public.
