Job Overview
The Domestic Air Freight Coordinator plays a critical role in our operations team by managing air shipments from pick-up to delivery. This position involves quoting, routing, rating, and monitoring shipments while maintaining regular communication with clients, carriers, and partners to ensure outstanding service and seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and manage all required documents for linehaul, delivery, pickup, import/export, and customs clearance.
- Tracking and Coordination: Monitor cargo movement to ensure timely delivery while keeping clients updated on shipment status.
- Billing Accuracy: Provide accurate billing details to the accounting team.
- Client Communication: Regularly update clients on freight disposition, including tracking, dispatching, routing, and rate quotations.
- Process Improvement: Assist in developing and implementing new operational processes and evaluate their success.
- Business Development Support: Collaborate with the sales team to assess new business opportunities and assist in onboarding new clients.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive satisfaction and retention.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with TSA, customs, and CTPAT regulations by exercising reasonable care and control.
- Profit Optimization: Identify the most profitable shipment methods while meeting client requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Share critical data and provide operational support to team members.
- Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities to align with company goals.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years in freight forwarding and brokerage, with expertise in non-asset-based logistics.
- Skills:
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Effective multitasking and prioritization.
- Team-oriented mindset with collaboration focus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

- Education:
- College degree in logistics or a related field preferred.
- High school diploma with relevant experience considered.
