Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator.
This role ensures a culture of safety, compliance, and proactive risk management across all project sites. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in safety protocols and OSHA standards within the construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Program Management: Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to identify hazards, evaluate safety risks, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Training and Education: Deliver safety training sessions for employees, subcontractors, and new hires, focusing on hazard awareness, proper equipment use, and emergency protocols.
- Incident Reporting: Investigate and document workplace incidents, near-misses, and injuries. Recommend corrective actions and implement preventative measures.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Safety Audits: Conduct regular audits of safety equipment, practices, and documentation.
- Emergency Response: Develop and update emergency response plans; provide on-site assistance in case of emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a safety coordinator or similar role within the construction industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and risk assessment processes.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field experience (not required).
