Superintendent

The Construction Superintendent will oversee the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. This position involves managing subcontractors, coordinating resources, maintaining quality control, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction, from initial site preparation to final project completion, ensuring that work meets specifications, quality standards, and schedules.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, trades, and construction crews. Act as a primary point of contact for onsite personnel and project stakeholders.
• Develop and manage daily, weekly, and project schedules to ensure timely completion. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to ensure materials and labor are available when needed.
• Monitor the quality of workmanship to ensure compliance with contract specifications, codes, and industry standards. Address any issues promptly and maintain a high standard of construction practices.
• Ensure that all work sites adhere to safety regulations and OSHA standards. Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and risk assessments to minimize accidents and injuries.
• Assist in tracking project expenses and resource allocations to ensure the project stays within budget. Address and resolve cost discrepancies or unforeseen expenses.
• Identify and resolve issues related to project delays, design changes, or resource shortages. Provide solutions to unforeseen challenges to minimize project disruptions.
• Maintain communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers, to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with the project’s progress.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, manpower, equipment, and material usage. Prepare reports and documentation for management and clients as required.

Requirements

• Current Glass and Glazing experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification (preferred). Additional certifications such as PMP or LEED accreditation are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure
• Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
