We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a proven track record in leading construction projects, specifically in the commercial sector. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of project leadership experience and possess a strong ability to manage multiple aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all local building codes, safety regulations, and contractual requirements.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors and site personnel.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all parties.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Budget and Financial Oversight:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including monitoring costs and mitigating risks.
- Approve invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents related to the project.
- Conduct regular financial reviews to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Quality and Safety Assurance:
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
- Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on job sites.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, schedules, and change orders.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project milestones, risks, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of project leadership experience in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial projects .
- Proven ability to manage projects from conception to completion, with a strong track record of delivering on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar).
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and LEED certifications is a plus.
