Job Title: Workforce Development Program Coordinator (Part-Time)

Our mission is to provide comprehensive support, training, and resources, enabling individuals to pursue and excel in Union construction careers.
Position Overview: The Program Coordinator at Music City Construction Careers plays a crucial role in the administrative duties and implementation of our workforce development programming. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating various activities, trainings, and events, promoting our organization in Nashville communities, and preparing participants for Union apprenticeship programs in construction trades. This position also requires strong administrative and communication skills, as the Program Coordinator will be responsible for answering phones, responding to emails, and making scheduling calls to coordinate interviews for program applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Phone and online follow-up with program applicants to promote the program, answer questions, and screen candidates
- Attend community events, schools, job fairs, and meetings to recruit participants and build organization awareness in community
- Maintain participant records
- Coordinate interviews, class schedules, field trips, and graduation ceremonies
- Assist graduates with apprenticeship placement planning
- Manage inventory and classroom supplies
- Present information about MC3 at various events and meetings, fostering community engagement
- Publish and update reports related to participant outcomes, job placements, apprenticeship progression, and program achievements.
- Manage MC3’s social media presence, sharing updates, class announcements, and success stories to raise awareness and engage the community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience in a related field (Social Work, Education, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, etc.)
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs Suite, and social media platforms.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment that supports diversity and opportunity within the construction trades industry.
Terms: Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)
Pay Rate: $20-25 per hour
