Our client is a leading manufacturer of window screens and other window product components. They are looking for a Director of Transportation to join their growing team. This person will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of product shipments.

The ideal candidate can live within a communicable distance to Elizabethton, TN ; Elizabethtown, PA ; or Hialeah, FL .

Responsibilities :

• Develop the company wide transportation strategy.
• Identify/select and/or utilize a TMS that best fits the business needs.
• Plan and supervise shipments from production to the end-user.
• Schedule daily and weekly routes for all sites.
• Track orders using functional systems (e.g. barcodes and tracking software).
• Monitor and report on transportation costs.
• Research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods.
• Conduct regular safety audits on equipment
• Organize training sessions for employees.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or relevant field
• Comfortable with up to 50% annually
• 7+ years in Transportation Management or similar role
• 7+ years experience in a high-volume shipping environment
• EPICOR Experience (Kinetix preferred)
• Knowledge of industry best practices and value chain analytics
