OVERVIEW

The Vice President of Revenue Management is responsible for structuring and leading the above property revenue management team. Developing and implementing revenue management strategies to maximize profitability across our managed hotel portfolio. This position involves analyzing market trends, forecasting demand, and setting pricing strategies to ensure optimal revenue performance. These tasks are done by working closely with the corporate sales and operations teams.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Partner with corporate-level teams in sales and operations to develop cohesive revenue strategies. Ensure alignment in demand generation initiatives, promotions, and brand program rollouts to maximize revenue growth.

Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies to optimize room rates and occupancy levels. Use automated revenue management systems such as Hilton’s GRO, Marriott’s One Yield, IHG’s Concerto, and Wyndham’s SynXis for real-time rate adjustments based on market demand and seasonality.

Ensure brand-specific revenue management platforms are fully optimized and updated. Regularly review system-generated recommendations and assess their impact on key performance metrics such as RevPAR and GOP.

Continuously track local market trends, competitor pricing, and demand drivers using industry tools like STR Reports, Hotelligence, and brand dashboards to inform strategic decisions.

Prepare accurate forecasts for demand, occupancy, and ADR. Collaborate with corporate teams to develop annual revenue budgets, leveraging historical data and predictive analytics to align with long-term goals.

Oversee inventory allocation and room type availability across all distribution channels, including direct booking websites, OTAs, GDS, and corporate platforms. Focus on maximizing brand direct bookings while ensuring rate parity across platforms.

Work with central reservation systems (CRS) and third-party platforms to optimize channel performance. Ensure alignment with brand mandates to improve efficiency and profitability.

Implement strategies to minimize overbookings, enhance upselling opportunities, and reduce cancellations while maintaining guest satisfaction.

Monitor group bookings, wholesale agreements, and negotiated corporate accounts. Collaborate with sales teams to ensure the right group mix and transient segmentation strategies are in place.

Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and profitability. Use brand-specific tools like Marriott’s MRDW, Hilton’s OnQ, and IHG’s reporting systems to provide actionable insights and performance reports to corporate leadership.

Foster close collaboration with brand revenue managers (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Wyndham) to stay informed on brand-specific initiatives and ensure proper representation in brand meetings.

Perform audits to ensure compliance with brand revenue management standards and identify opportunities for improvement. Provide training and coaching to revenue managers to optimize performance.

Monitor and analyze brand scorecard metrics, including Hilton’s RGI, Marriott’s RPI, and IHG’s Total Revenue Performance. Ensure targets are met and develop corrective action plans when necessary.

Manage revenue system setups for new hotels, conversions, and brand transitions. Ensure systems are configured properly for efficient ramp-up and long-term success.

Take on other responsibilities as needed to support overall revenue management initiatives.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Proficiently speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language

Ability to speak other languages in a multicultural work environment can be extremely helpful in facilitating good communication among all hotel team members

Able to read and write to facilitate the communication process

Able to work independently and desire to participate as part of team

Possess proficient computer skills including proficient knowledge of MS Office products, knowledge of brand operating systems preferred

Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks


EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field or equivalent industry experience.


EXPERIENCE

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in revenue management within the hospitality industry.

Strong organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail and the ability to hold others accountable.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.

Proficiency in revenue management systems and tools; familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and global distribution systems (GDS).

Experience with brand-specific systems such as Hilton’s GRO , Marriott’s One Yield , IHG’s Concerto , and Wyndham’s SynXis .

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
