Currie & Brown is seeking talented Estimators across all disciplines with expertise in means and methods to join our team. This position involves working with a major client in the industrial sector in Phoenix, Arizona.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including industrial, commercial, and specialized facilities.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine accurate material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Validate estimates and align with subcontractors' means and methods for the scope of work.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope and budget.
- Identify and evaluate risks and provide recommendations to mitigate cost-related issues.
- Provide cost breakdowns and forecasts throughout all project phases.
- Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market trends and pricing.
- Assist in developing value engineering solutions to optimize project outcomes.
- On-site with client (50 hours per week)
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred with a minimum of 7 years of experience with estimating.
- Proven experience in estimating, with a focus on industrial or large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of means and methods of construction, materials, and industry practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Previous field experience is a plus.
