Acara Solutions is looking for a Materials Specialist to work with our partner located out of Burlingame, CA who specializes in Medical Device Manufacturing.

Here is what you will do:
The Materials Specialist will focus on supporting the manufacturing team commercial preparation. This role will engage in cross-functional collaboration to manage materials in-house to ensure smooth rollout of manufacturing activities.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and maintain part inventory, including but not limited to storage, labeling, kitting, material handling, and inventory reporting.
- Maintain MIN MAX and ROP for production material and manage to ensure no production part shortages.
- Create work orders in NetSuite to support production and outsourced manufacturing. * Manage change order requests in Propel and NetSuite
- Prepare materials for production & R&D, including picking and staging components according to work orders.
- Manage our BOM and inventory, performing regular cycle counts to ensure accurate part counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Collaborate with production teams to fulfill material transfer requests and support manufacturing schedules.
- Assist R&D with Material Transfer Requests
- When needed, assist in the packaging and shipment of finished goods, as necessary.
- Manage incoming and outgoing material shipments for offsite storage.
- Issue purchase orders to support product development.
- Main point of contact to monitor/track shipments, obtain missing shipment documentation or corrections, and resolve accounts payable issues.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 10+ years' work experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical device, pharma industry, aerospace) with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to lift fifty-five (55) pounds.
- Experienced with NetSuite ERP system.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Gmail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Impeccable organizational skills
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross functional teams.
- Solid understanding of supplier quality controls
- Outstanding time management and multi-tasking skills - able to appropriately prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- Capable of reading and understanding part prints
- Possess knowledge of supplier/part qualification process
