Hyve Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven individual with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Typically manages a single department and/or shift
- Manage the ongoing ISO compliant and cost-effective manufacture of specific products or sub-products
- Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply
- Plans and administers procedures Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
- Manages through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and staffing.
- Directing and instructing a team consisting of ~10 supervisors, and ~200 employees
- Managing staff to meet objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost across 2 shifts and supporting on primary customer
- Training, supporting, and leading the management and supervisory staff
- Utilizing lean manufacturing strategies and tools to help the team achieve more efficient production
- Utilizing quality tools, such as 8D, to identify root causes of failures and implement preventative measures
- Make improvements in manufacturing assembly to reduce defects, failures, and labor cost
- Hiring and retaining of manufacturing talent
- Experience working on complex problems where analysis or data requires evaluation and identifiable factors and interacting with leadership on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
- Provide solutions to problems of moderate complexity that require the evaluation of readily distinguishable factors using standard techniques and methodologies.
- Interface with peers, both internal and external to the organization, to complete various reporting and follow-up tasks.
Job Specifications
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years related experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems
- Effective in time management and delegation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean philosophies and experienced in practicing those applications.

Physical Demands
- Extensive use of computer equipment, and frequent telephone activity.
