We are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Kovitz that entails comprehensive lead management and conversion responsibilities, including following established sales processes to engage with prospects effectively and evaluating their suitability for initial appointments with Financial Advisors. Moreover, the SDR is tasked with nurturing Marketing-Qualified Leads (MQLs), providing knowledgeable responses to prospect inquiries about Kovitz's financial advisory services, fee structure, and investment criteria. In addition to lead engagement and qualification, the role involves CRM management and optimization to maintain data integrity, accurate sales records, and proactive identification of opportunities for CRM usage enhancement. Furthermore, the SDR collaborates with sales and marketing teams to streamline processes, assist in pipeline management, and enhance overall team efficiency.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Management and Conversion:
- Follow the established sales process to engage with leads and prospects effectively.
- Evaluate prospects for their suitability and determine if they should be scheduled for a 1st appointment with a Financial Advisor.
- Nurture Marketing-Qualified Leads (MQLs) that have expressed interest in Kovitz and secure the first appointment.
- Provide knowledgeable responses to prospect inquiries regarding Kovitz's financial advisory process, fee structure, and investment selection criteria.
Lead Engagement and Qualification:
- Follow up on Marketing-Qualified Leads (MQLs) generated through various channels, such as website inquiries, content downloads, and event attendees.
- Utilize phone and email communication to determine prospects’ interest and suitability.
- Qualify prospects based on established criteria and identify opportunities for the sales team.
CRM Management and Optimization:
- Maintain Marketing-Qualified Leads (MQLs) data integrity within the CRM system.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales data within the CRM system.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize CRM usage for improved sales data tracking.
- Maintain and track MQL scorecard spreadsheet using downloaded CRM data.
- Assist with sales pipeline management, reporting, and forecasting.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1-2 years of sales development, lead generation, or sales support is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Proficiency in using a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- The ability to ask probing questions and actively listen to prospects needs.
- Needs to be a self-starter and stay motivated.
- Meticulous data entry and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret sales data and identify trends for improvements.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in a Financial Services environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office PowerPoint.
- Office 365.
- ShareFile.
