As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a Hardware System Engineer to join our team and play a key role in enabling the adoption of our high-speed Ethernet semiconductor solutions in the automotive sector.
Job Summary:
The individual will be responsible for validating and testing semiconductor devices to ensure optimal performance and reliability. They will also actively participate in system design reviews to provide critical feedback and contribute to the refinement of design concepts. Additionally, this role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including hardware designers, software engineers, and product managers, to drive seamless integration and ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate the chip functionalities, both electrically and at the protocol/system level.
- Write Python scripts to automate the functional/feature testing, interface with chip designer/ firmware engineer to study and debug silicon.
- Use lab equipment to perform electrical measurements, like timing parameters, compliance testing, noise/jitter analysis, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge in Ethernet, PCIe, WiFi or other communication protocols, or coursework in relevant fields
- Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and other test equipment
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python
- Understanding of electronic circuitry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex problems
- Strong communication skills and experience working in a team environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Team player, able to communicate effectively in a cross-functional environment
