Facilitate the maintenance of facility equipment to include HVAC systems, cooling systems, security systems, etc. Supervise contractors to fix the equipment. Work with 3rd party vendors to ensure they are completing the work correctly and in a safe manner. Perform basic equipment checks and preventative maintenance. For example, verify that equipment is running properly, and if not, call a contractor in to fix. Be able to fix minor things. Manage vendor relationships. Establish and maintain communication with vendors. Work safely and ensure that vendors are following all required EHSS protocols. This role is also a back-up person on team, including but not limited to shipping and receiving requiring formal training if candidate is not DOT certified.
• Act as focal point to maintain infrastructure utility equipment at site.
• Oversee/project management of contractors performing work at facility on infrastructure improvements.
• Conduct routine inspections of infrastructure, perform basic general PM to include filter changes, belts and hoses, light bulbs.
• Support Capex projects with connections to site utilities.
• Own and implement SHEM 05, oversee transition from SHEM framework to OMS. Lead self and internal audits of elements.
• Control of vendor access to facility, and oversight of vendor safety and environmental compliance.
• Forklift certified; DOT certified preferred; technical certification and/or education related to mechanical systems and facility maintenance and IT.
• Back up to logistics specialist.
• On call for site utility issues.
