Job Description

My client is a regional provider of commercial property and casualty insurance, offering customized coverage through independent agents. They focus on building long-term partnerships and providing products such as general liability, workers' compensation, and commercial auto insurance. With a commitment to excellent underwriting, claims handling, and strong financial stability, my client serves businesses across various industries while maintaining a local presence and broad national capabilities. They believe in taking ownership, doing the right thing, planning for the future, leading by example, and building strong partnerships. Their shared values drive their success and position their agency partners and policyholders for success.

Their dynamic team is seeking a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter to drive the acquisition and retention of profitable commercial lines customers. This role involves applying sound underwriting principles aligned with company policy. The Underwriter will partner with assigned agents to achieve profitability and production targets, adhere to guidelines, build business relationships, and oversee the pricing and underwriting within an assigned territory.

Additionally, my client is dedicated to fostering a culture of learning. They empower teammates to grow and develop, maximizing their performance and career opportunities. Using a consultative approach, they ensure the best solutions for development and training needs.

The ideal candidate will bring commercial lines underwriting experience and strong agency connections in Georgia. The position is hybrid, based in the Lawrenceville, GA office, with the option to work remotely up to two days a week.

If this position sounds like a great fit, apply ASAP as first-round interviews are underway and my client is looking to make a hire as soon as possible.

Qualifications:

  • At least four years of experience in commercial property and casualty underwriting.
  • Strong agency relationships in Georgia.
