Company & Role:
A well-known Houston based energy trading business is looking for a Technical Project Manager. You will be working across the business, liaising with teams, gathering information and understanding their problems. You will be part of a sub team that consists of two AI specialists who are working on projects such as automating back-office functions using LLM models, tracking tankers, and building an analytics platform.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and ensure milestones are met.
- Liaise with energy traders, analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements and align project deliverables.
- Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams and business units.
- Understand the architecture, tools, and technologies used in energy trading software.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years in project management, preferably within the software development domain.
- Experience in energy trading, commodity markets, or financial technology is highly desirable.
The role is based in downtown Houston. Full time in office. Salary from $150,000-$200,000 d.o.e. As a trading company, the bonus scheme can be highly rewarding.
