Company Overview:

Premier real estate holdings company with a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including hotels and marinas, across key markets. We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Director of Finance to lead financial strategy, reporting, and operations for two high-profile assets located in the South Florida market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both real estate finance and hospitality, particularly within the hotel and marina sectors.

Position Summary:

The Director of Finance will oversee the financial management of two properties in South Florida, working closely with the corporate office to ensure efficient financial operations, profitability, and long-term sustainability. This role requires a hands-on approach to financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for both commercial and hospitality assets. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of hospitality operations, and the ability to manage financial performance across multiple property types.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the two properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis and insights to the corporate office regarding performance, including variance analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and profitability metrics.
  • Coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and market trends.

Property-Level Financial Management:

  • Monitor and manage capital expenditures, property budgets, and ensure that financial performance targets are met.
  • Work closely with on-site management teams to optimize revenue streams, reduce costs, and improve overall profitability.

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement long-term financial strategies for both properties in alignment with corporate growth objectives.
  • Provide recommendations on asset optimization and potential investment opportunities, including acquisitions, renovations, or disposition of assets.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Assess financial risk and implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard company assets.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead and mentor finance team members at the property level, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison between property-level management and the corporate office, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA is a plus).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3-5 years in a senior finance role within the hospitality industry, specifically in hotel and marina operations.
  • Strong experience in real estate finance, including managing both commercial properties and hospitality assets.
  • Proven track record of financial oversight and management for multiple properties within a portfolio.

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Expertise in financial reporting systems, accounting software, and Excel-based financial analysis.
  • Deep understanding of hotel and marina revenue streams, cost structures, and operational drivers.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to cross-functional teams.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to oversee properties and collaborate with the corporate office.
