Position Overview: The Vice President (VP) of Private Equity will play a critical role in managing and growing our investment portfolio. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities, as well as overseeing the performance and strategic direction of portfolio companies. The VP will work closely with senior leadership and investment teams to drive value creation and achieve the firm's financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Sourcing and Evaluation:
- Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
- Conduct thorough due diligence, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment.
- Develop investment theses and present recommendations to the investment committee.
Transaction Execution:
- Lead the negotiation and structuring of investment transactions.
- Coordinate with legal, financial, and operational advisors to ensure successful deal execution.
- Oversee the preparation of investment documentation and agreements.
Portfolio Management:
- Monitor the performance of portfolio companies and implement value creation strategies.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to portfolio company management teams.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and report on key metrics to senior leadership.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry contacts, investment partners, and portfolio company executives.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and develop junior investment professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful investment sourcing, evaluation, and execution.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
