Job Description

Schedule:

M-F 8am - 5pm


6 months anticipated need while volume of work has increased. Possibility of extension based on business need.


Interview Process:

- 1st round - 30 min phone screen with hiring manager

- 2nd round - 1 hour onsite with hiring team & HR.


In this role, you will be reporting directly to a Quality Supervisor. This position focuses on product quality and disposition of Advanced Optics parts and materials, product and material documentation review and release and liaison between the Plant and key stakeholders. We look for you to work closely with other functions within the organization (Engineering, Operations, and Procurement) and be responsible for driving an improved Customer experience with our products.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Ensures adequacy of product Quality and compliance to requirements.

• Dispositions production events related to part and material non-conformances.

• Monitors metrics consistent with job responsibilities.

• Support Plant Safety programs to provide a safe working environment.

• Achieve applicable department requirements for safety, quality and cost.

• Ability to identify root-cause & how to improve issue at hand.

• Drive simplification and continuous improvement.

• Administrative work for production events in the system, ensuring that they are moving along and completing the production event process.

• Other Quality process as such as RMA, Auditing, CAPA as needed.



Required Education/Experience:

• Two year (Associates) + 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment OR

• High school diploma + 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment


Required Skills:

• Previous Quality Control experience in a manufacturing or technical function.

• Flexibility to multitask and prioritize work on an independent basis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Excellent cross functional communication skills.

• Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office.


Desired Skills:

• Previous Quality Control experience in a manufacturing or technical function.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001.

• Familiarity with advanced manipulation of ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP.

• Experience with procedure and work instruction interpretation.


Soft Skills:

• Flexibility to work within a dynamic team and provide training to others.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work effectively on all levels of an organization.

• Intrinsically motivated towards personal development and corporate continuous improvement.
